Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 13, 2023) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Fort Walton Beach community on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Matthew Sexton as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Eglin Parkway.
Located at 122 Eglin Parkway NE, Chick-fil-A Eglin Parkway will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the drive-thru open until 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Eglin Parkway can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Eglin Parkway restaurant joins more than 22 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Mobile-Pensacola market.

As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.
In Fort Walton Beach, Sexton will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Sexton started his career with Chick-fil-A in 1991, and throughout his 32 years, has served in roles ranging from Team Member to local Owner-Operator. He has spent the last 25 years cultivating the Chick-fil-A brand in Fort Walton Beach. In 2003, he was selected as the local Owner-Operator of nearby Chick-fil-A Beal Parkway, which he will continue to operate along with Chick-fil-A Eglin Parkway.
Sexton is committed to the motto “two restaurants, one culture” and will seamlessly merge the environment of care he has created at Chick-fil-A Beal Parkway with the new restaurant. As an experienced local Owner-Operator, Sexton is passionate about creating leadership opportunities for his Team Members and continuing to expand his involvement in the community, both of which will be foundational aspects of Chick-fil-A Eglin Parkway.
“It’s a surreal experience to have the opportunity to grow Chick-fil-A’s presence in Fort Walton Beach by opening our first new restaurant in the area in 20 years,” said Sexton. “My hope with this new restaurant is to expand Chick-fil-A’s one-of-a-kind culture, further make a positive impact on our guests and provide opportunities for my Team Members.”
Caring for the Fort Walton Beach Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Mobile-Pensacola area to aid in the fight against hunger.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Eglin Parkway is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Fort Walton Beach area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
