Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Meals for a Year

HOUSTON (Oct. 27, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Houston community on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Jesse Chaluh as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Meyer Park Center.

Located at 9799 S. Post Oak Road, within the Meyer Park Shopping Center, Chick-fil-A Meyer Park Center will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Meyer Park Center can place an order for pickup or dine-in on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. Visit chick-fil-a.com/delivery to view delivery options in your area.

The Meyer Park Center restaurant joins more than 50 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Houston market.

Locally Owned and Operated
In Houston, Chaluh will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.

Having grown up in the Meyerland area and as a Westbury High School graduate, Chaluh is excited to open another location in his hometown. While he has been an Operator for 35 years, Chaluh did not initially start his career at Chick-fil-A. Upon graduating from the University of Houston in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Chaluh began exploring opportunities in the restaurant industry. He owned a local yogurt shop, Jack’s Yogurt Stop, for six years before applying to be a Chick-fil-A Operator in 1987. Chaluh’s first job at Chick-fil-A was at the Sharpstown Mall location – now known as PlazAmericas – where he tried his first ever Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich. In 1999, Chaluh transitioned to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Meyerland, and in 2006, he also became the Operator of Chick-fil-A 59 & Kirby.

Chaluh is excited to welcome new and existing guests to his restaurant as he brings a second location to the Meyerland community. In addition to Chick-fil-A Meyer Park Center, Chaluh will continue to own and operate Chick-fil-A Meyerland Plaza and Chick-fil-A 59 & Kirby, both located in the Houston area.

“I have loved being an Operator for the last 35 years and look forward to working with my new Team Members,” said Chaluh. “This new Meyer Park Center location gives me the opportunity to guide young professionals into meaningful positions, and I am so proud of my Team Members who will continue to develop as the leaders of tomorrow.”

Caring for the Houston Community
In honor of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America on behalf of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Houston area to aid in the fight against hunger.

In addition, Chick-fil-A Meyer Park Center is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Houston area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.

Team Member Investment
Chick-fil-A Operators are committed to hiring, developing and retaining top talent and providing a positive work environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. Team Members have opportunities for flexible work hours and leadership growth, competitive pay and benefits, hands-on training and mentoring and the chance to apply for scholarships to support their continuing education.

Delicious Food; Outstanding Customer Service
Chick-fil-A is known for serving customers great-tasting food made with high-quality ingredients, including the original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich. Made with a real, whole, boneless breast of chicken with no added fillers, the breaded chicken is pressure cooked in fully-refined peanut oil. Chick-fil-A was one of the first in the industry to eliminate chicken raised with antibiotics to ensure guests have an option for high-quality food on the go.

To complement the great-tasting chicken, fresh produce is delivered to Chick-fil-A restaurants up to six times a week for the best quality and flavor. The fresh ingredients are raised and grown by farmers who share the company's elevated quality and safety standards, so guests feel good about their meal.
