Chick-fil-A Plaza del Sol will generate around 150 full-time and part-time jobs
BAYAMÓN, PUERTO RICO (June 16, 2022) – Chick-fil-A, the #1 chicken restaurant in the United States, is proud to welcome its second restaurant in Puerto Rico, located at 705 Ave. West Main in Bayamón. Chick-fil-A Plaza del Sol will offer the possibility of eating inside the restaurant, through servi-cart and the option to buy food to go from 6:30 am to 9:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.
In order to take better care of its Team Members, the service line will close at 9:30 pm Customers who are in line before that time, within the marked area of the shopping center, will be served. Customers are advised to visit the Locations section on the website to find out the restaurant's operating hours.
Locally owned and operated
Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Xiomara González-López as the independent owner of the Chick-fil-A Plaza del Sol franchise. Born and raised in Arecibo, Xiomara González-López will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 150 full-time and part-time Team Members, serving customers, and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.

Caring for the Bayamón community
As a special project for Xiomara and her family, her restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ program, an initiative that redirects restaurant surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks, and nonprofit organizations. Chick-fil-A Plaza del Sol will donate surplus food to a local community partner.

Uniting Customers
In the Chick-fil-A Plaza del Sol dining room, guests can enjoy their meal at a communal table, known as Nuestra Mesa, made and designed by Naranjito native Erick Colón Maldonado of EC Interiors. The design team also worked with Erick to create a custom handcrafted piece that tells the story of the 100% Puerto Rican coffee offering.
Servi-Car experience
Chick-fil-A Restaurant Team Members will personally greet customers in the drive-thru line and take each customer's order on a tablet. As the order taker walks the line, another Team Member from the restaurant will approach the customer's vehicle to collect, allowing carts to move faster than a traditional drive-thru with loudspeaker horns. To ensure restaurant Team Members who work the drive-thru line feel comfortable in any weather, Chick-fil-A has partnered with clothing brands that design military-spec cooling vests and moisture-wicking uniforms.
