Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local
Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Naperville, Mueller will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 150 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Naperville community’s needs.
A Chicagoland native, Mueller’s first job was at a coffee shop in Naperville, igniting her passion for serving others and leading to other retail and hospitality roles throughout and after college. With fond memories of dining at Chick-fil-A Fox Valley Center in nearby Aurora, she hadn’t considered a career with the restaurant company until learning that the local restaurant was hiring. She accepted a role as the restaurant’s Director of Operations, where she was mentored by the local Owner-Operator and spent more than four years learning the ins and outs of the business.
Mueller was then selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Portage Road in South Bend, Indiana, where she served for over three years and cultivated a culture of care.
Now, Mueller is grateful for the full-circle moment to return to Chicagoland and specifically Naperville, her husband’s hometown, and the place where her heart for entrepreneurship and hospitality began.
“Being a Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator has been so fulfilling, and now, having the opportunity to live out my dream in Naperville, at the heart of where our lives are, is truly a special milestone for my family and me,” said Mueller. “At Chick-fil-A Ogden & Iroquois, we look forward to pursuing excellence and providing remarkable experiences for our Guests with a servant heart.”
Caring for the Naperville Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Chicago area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Mueller’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 35 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,300 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Ogden & Iroquois is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Naperville area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
