Cows eat free on opening day at Chick-fil-A Plainview
PLAINVIEW, Texas (April 1, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is ready to serve Plainview when it opens on April 10, 2025, with Lee Rutter serving as the local Owner-Operator. The new restaurant brings approximately 100 jobs to the community.
To celebrate the restaurant moo-ving into town, Rutter and his team are inviting the community to show off their cow print at the restaurant on opening day for one free entrée*!
Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-printed accessory, Guests of all ages are encouraged to join the fun. The celebration takes place on opening day, offering the community a chance to celebrate the iconic Chick-fil-A Cows seen in TV commercials and on billboards. Guests dressed in cow attire can redeem the offer of one free entrée inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
Located at 4201 Olton Road, Chick-fil-A Plainview will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, and Mobile Thru.

- Rutter spent seven years learning the ins and outs of the business at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Lake Travis before he was selected as local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Plainview.
- He previously spent 20 years in ministry before pursuing a new career path with Chick-fil-A.

Rutter is committed to giving back to the Plainview community by:
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Lubbock area to aid in the fight against hunger.
