HONOLULU, Hawai‘i (Oct. 17, 2022) – The first Chick-fil-A® restaurant on O‘ahu will open in Honolulu on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Kurt Milne as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Ala Moana Center, located in the Makai Market Food Court at 1450 Ala Moana Blvd., Honolulu, HI, 96814.

Locally owned and operated
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators proudly reside in the areas in which they serve.
In Honolulu, Kurt Milne will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses. Milne and his family reside on O‘ahu, where he has lived since graduating from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa where he played on the football team. Having operated several successful businesses on O‘ahu, Milne is excited to combine his extensive restaurant operations background with his fond Chick-fil-A memories, inspiring guests to create their own traditions at the restaurant.
“Throughout my childhood in Georgia, I had so many special experiences at Chick-fil-A, and I look forward to our guests experiencing that same level of signature hospitality combined with the Aloha Spirit,” said Milne. “I’ve called O‘ahu home for nearly two decades, and I look forward to the opportunity for our restaurant to serve and show care for our Team Members, guests and the Honolulu community.”
Caring for the Community
In honor of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Hawai‘i Foodbank, a certified member of Feeding America, on behalf of the new restaurant. The funds will support partners in the local community to aid in the fight against hunger. Chick-fil-A Ala Moana Center is also recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.
Additionally, Milne’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® Program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. When there is surplus food, Chick-fil-A Ala Moana Center will donate it to a local community partner.
