Restaurant to Bring Approximately 120 Full- and Part Time Jobs to Community


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (March 28, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Youngstown on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Jared Szari as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Austintown. Szari will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 120 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A Austintown is located at 5647 Mahoning Ave., at the site of the former Mashorda’s County Gardens, and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A Austintown will open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out service, as well as third-party delivery. Guests can take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the free Chick-fil-A® App or through online ordering. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Austintown will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Youngstown with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Mahoning County area to aid in the fight against hunger. Chick-fil-A Austintown will also implement the Shared TableTM program, which will donate surplus food to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley to feed those in need.

Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A Austintown is locally owned and operated by Jared Szari. A Mahoning County native, Szari began his career with Chick-fil-A as a Team Member in 2004. During his college years at Malone University, he continued to work at Chick-fil-A restaurants in Ohio, eventually transitioning to management and director roles following his graduation in 2011. After learning the ins and outs of the Chick-fil-A business in the Leadership Development Program, Szari’s dream became a reality when he was selected to become the Operator of Chick-fil-A Austintown. With 17 years of Chick-fil-A experience, Szari looks forward to serving the Youngstown community great-tasting food with Chick-fil-A’s signature hospitality.
