Restaurant Brings Approximately 80-100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 16, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Knoxville community on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Paul Rosser as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Hardin Valley.
Located at 10909 Spring Bluff Way, Chick-fil-A Hardin Valley will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and Mobile Thru from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The Hardin Valley restaurant joins more than 20 Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Knoxville market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Knoxville, Rosser will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 80 to 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Knoxville community’s needs.
Chick-fil-A is Rosser’s first and only employer, and he’s excited to return to his home state to make a positive impact on Team Members and Guests alike. Rosser began his Chick-fil-A career as a Team Member in 2000 at the local restaurant in Knoxville he frequently visited as a child. He served in various roles at multiple Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout Tennessee before being selected as the local Owner-Operator of a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Jackson. After six years, Rosser relocated north and became the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A I-5 & Alderwood in Washington in 2015. A proud Knoxville native, Rosser is delighted to be back in the city with his wife and two children to open Chick-fil-A Hardin Valley.
“I’m so thankful for the opportunity to return to my hometown of Knoxville; to show care for the community in a way that can’t be replicated anywhere else,” Rosser said. “I want my restaurant to be a community hub – meeting people where they are in the best of times, as well as the most challenging. My aim is to be the best employer in Hardin Valley, and given my passion for education, I look forward to giving back to the people of Knoxville through partnerships with the many local schools.”
Caring for the Knoxville Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
Rosser’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 30 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Hardin Valley is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Knoxville area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Team Member Investment
Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators strive to hire, develop and retain top talent, helping future leaders optimize their skills and providing pathways for personal and professional development in a welcoming, purpose-driven environment. A career at Chick-fil-A offers a wide range of benefits, including hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work.
