SOUTH FULTON, Ga. (Sept. 24, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the South Fulton community on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Brooke Smith as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A South Fulton Parkway at 92.
Located at 5395 Thompson Road, Chick-fil-A South Parkway at 92 will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where Guests can pick up orders placed ahead of time on the Chick-fil-A® App, from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The South Fulton restaurant joins more than 150 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Atlanta market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In South Fulton, Smith will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 120 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the South Fulton community’s needs.
Born and raised on the westside of Atlanta, Smith's earliest memories with Chick-fil-A were at the company’s first-ever mall location in the Greenbriar Mall. She and her grandmother would visit often for an afterschool treat – a humble tradition that eventually came full circle.
Years later, after Smith graduated college and moved to Houston, she came across an article about a partnership between Chick-fil-A and Atlanta Public Schools, aimed at supporting students in the westside community achieve their educational and career goals. The program deeply resonated with her, ultimately inspiring her to explore career opportunities with Chick-fil-A.
In 2020, with nearly a decade of experience in business strategy and planning, Smith began working as a Team Member at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Houston. Over the next three and a half years, she gained a deeper knowledge of the restaurant business, further developed young leaders and sharpened her own leadership skills.
Now, Smith is excited to return to her roots as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A South Fulton Parkway at 92 and make a significant impact in the community she calls home.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return home and give back to the community that has shaped me,” said Smith. "We want all of our Guests to feel welcomed and know there is a place for everyone at our restaurant. It is my hope that our genuine care and dedication will inspire others to show care too.”
Caring for the South Fulton Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Atlanta area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Smith’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 30 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A South Fulton Parkway at 92 is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the South Fulton area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
