Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
BUFORD, Ga. (Nov. 12, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Buford community on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Steve Warnstrom as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Buford.
Located at 1615 Buford Highway, Chick-fil-A Buford will be open for drive-thru, carry-out, delivery and Mobile Thru from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday. Designed for speed and efficiency, this drive-thru-focused location offers added convenience to serve Guests through its drive-thru and a walk-up window for carry-out.
The Buford restaurant joins more than 180 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Atlanta market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Buford, Warnstrom will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Buford and Sugar Hill communities’ needs.
Warnstrom’s 32-year Chick-fil-A career started in 1992, where he served as the local Owner-Operator of a mall restaurant in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. After nearly a decade of dedication to the community, in 2001 he was selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Mall of Georgia on Buford Drive, which he will continue to operate alongside this new restaurant. Having served as a local Owner-Operator for more than three decades, Warnstrom is deeply invested in the growth and development of his Team Members and committed to creating a welcoming environment for Guests to receive exceptional service and care.
For Warnstrom and his family, Buford is more than just a place to work—it’s home. He and his wife, Justine, have been dedicated members of the Buford community for over 20 years. They raised their three children in Buford and are passionate about investing in the community they proudly call home.

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Atlanta area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Warnstrom’s restaurant is participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 30 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Buford is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Buford and Sugar Hill area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
