Restaurant Brings Approximately 80 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
WALPOLE, Mass. (Dec. 2, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Walpole community on Thursday, Dec. 5. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Andrew Musick as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Walpole.
Located at 112 Providence Highway in the Walpole Mall, Chick-fil-A Walpole will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and delivery from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The Chick-fil-A Walpole restaurant joins 17 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Boston market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Walpole, Andrew will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 80 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Walpole community’s needs.
Originally from North Carolina, Andrew grew up frequenting his hometown Chick-fil-A restaurant alongside his family. In 2010, Andrew began serving as a Team Member at his local Chick-fil-A during high school before moving to Raleigh to study at North Carolina State University. Continuing to grow with Chick-fil-A throughout his college years, Andrew developed a deep passion for serving Guests and decided he was committed to a long-term career with the company. After graduation, Andrew was selected to join the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, which gives future leaders the chance to learn alongside Operators around the U.S. and Canada. Not only did the program introduce Andrew to his wife, Liz, but it also brought him to New England, where he felt drawn to the small-town feel and close-knit communities. Andrew began to dream of one day planting roots in New England as he continued to serve at a restaurant in South Attleboro after his tenure in the program. Today, Andrew and his wife are realizing that dream, along with their son, Jake, and they look forward to deepening their connections within the local community at Chick-fil-A Walpole.
“I am incredibly proud to introduce Chick-fil-A to Walpole, a community that has welcomed me with open arms,” Andrew said. “Chick-fil-A has been a cornerstone in making me who I am today, and I can personally attest to the positive impact we can make. The local Owner-Operators who I’ve served throughout my Chick-fil-A career became my mentors along the way. In the same way they have prepared me for this role, I cannot wait to support great, caring leaders as they realize their own personal and career dreams.”
Caring for the Walpole Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Greater Boston Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
Andrew’s restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 30 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Walpole is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Walpole area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Team Member Investment
Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators strive to hire, develop and retain top talent, helping future leaders optimize their skills and providing pathways for personal and professional development in a welcoming, purpose-driven environment. A career at Chick-fil-A offers a wide range of benefits, including hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work.
