Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local
Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Manteca, Payton will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the new restaurant, including employing approximately 125 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Manteca community’s needs.
Dedicated to transforming communities in Manteca, Payton looks forward to strengthening community ties and developing his Team Members through mentorship and intentional leadership development. With the opening of Chick-fil-A Airport Way & Hwy 120, he is excited to extend his commitment to exceptional care and hospitality while continuing to operate his existing Manteca Chick-fil-A restaurant.
As the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Hwy 99 & Yosemite Ave, Payton has established strong community relationships in Manteca. Now, as he prepares to operate Chick-fil-A Airport Way & Hwy 120, he's eager to extend the same commitment to new Guests while continuing his service-focused approach. With strong family ties to California and the Central Valley, Payton was drawn to Chick-fil-A because its core values of community impact and service align closely with his own principles. His connection to Chick-fil-A began personally - it was a favorite date spot with his wife – and has evolved into a professional passion for making a difference in the community he serves.
“Since starting my journey with Chick-fil-A five years ago, the support and relationships built within the Manteca community have been truly invaluable,” said Payton. “With the opening of Airport Way & Hwy 120, I look forward to the opportunity to touch more lives, create professional job opportunities, and a space where Team Members feel supported and inspired to further invest in the community I’m proud to call home.”
Caring for the Manteca Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Sacramento-Stockton-Modesto area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Payton’s restaurant is participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 30 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada. To further the impact of the donations, Chick-fil-A Airport Way & Hwy 120 will donate surplus food to Hope Family Shelters, the same recipient of Payton’s first restaurant, Chick-fil-A Hwy 99 & Yosemite Ave.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Airport Way & Hwy 120 is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Manteca area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
