Restaurant Brings Approximately 110 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
ALICE, Texas (Dec. 4, 2023) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Alice community on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Michael Kandler as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Alice.
Located at 2273 E. Main St., Chick-fil-A Alice will be open for open for dine-in and carry out, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and drive-thru, 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Alice can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. The new restaurant will also feature Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where guests can pick up orders placed on the Chick-fil-A App. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Chick-fil-A Alice restaurant joins 10 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Corpus Christi market.

As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.
In Alice, Kandler will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 110 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
An Atlanta native, Kandler started his journey with the Company as a teenager at Chick-fil-A Rivermont Station in Alpharetta, Georgia. During college, Kandler balanced his rigorous academic schedule with being a dedicated Team Member at Chick-fil-A Epps Bridge in Athens, Georgia. After graduation, he relocated to Texas to pursue a career with Chick-fil-A, and he grew from Team Member to Executive Director, working with several local Owner-Operators across the Rio Grande Valley to learn the ins and outs of the business. In 2021, he joined the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program, supporting new restaurant openings for two years before being selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Alice. Kandler, his wife Viviana and their growing family are looking forward to getting involved with the community and connecting with Guests at Chick-fil-A Alice.
“We want our Guests to understand how much we care about this community,” said Kandler. “Our restaurant will be more than just a place to enjoy delicious food. We want to be known for our investment in the community, supporting education and developing young leaders. We’re excited to be a part of the continuing growth in Alice.”
Caring for the Alice Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Corpus Christi area to aid in the fight against hunger.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Alice is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Alice area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Kandler’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 23 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
