Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
HARRISBURG, Pa. (Aug. 31, 2023) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Harrisburg community on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Stephanie Kapetanakos as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Jonestown Road.
Located at 5051 Jonestown Road, Chick-fil-A Jonestown Road will be open for drive-thru, outdoor dining and carry out from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday. Designed for speed and efficiency, this drive-thru-focused location offers added convenience to serve guests through its drive-thru, a walk-up window for carry-out and patio seating to enjoy a delicious Chick-fil-A meal.
Guests of Chick-fil-A Jonestown Road can place an order for pickup on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Jonestown Road restaurant joins 14 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York market.

In Harrisburg, Kapetanakos will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 80-100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Entrepreneurship is, as Kapetakanos describes it, in her blood. A Wilmington, Delaware native, Kapetakanos received a college a degree in entrepreneurship. She has worked in the restaurant industry since a young age, for national chains and her family’s pizzeria.
Kapetakanos looks forward to using the lessons learned throughout her career to better serve the Harrisburg community and inspire her Chick-fil-A Jonestown Road Team Members.
“My goal is to assist in the development of future leaders and positively impact their lives,” Kapetakanos said. “I aim to instill in my Team Members the belief that, through hard work, anything is achievable. Hard work is never easy, but working hard is so rewarding.”
Caring for the Harrisburg Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Harrisburg area to aid in the fight against hunger.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Jonestown Road is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Harrisburg area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Kapetanakos’ restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 20 million meals have been served nationwide from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations.
