Restaurant to Bring Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community 


NEW ORLEANS, La. (March 21, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in LaPlace on March 24. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Jasmine Spraggins as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A LaPlace. Spraggins will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A LaPlace is located at 1525 W. Airline Hwy, and will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. 

Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A LaPlace will open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out services. Guests can take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the free Chick-fil-A® App or through online ordering. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A LaPlace will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in LaPlace with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater New Orleans area to aid in the fight against hunger. 

Locally Owned and Operated 
Chick-fil-A LaPlace is locally owned and operated by Jasmine Spraggins, who has worked at Chick-fil-A since she was 17 years old. She began her career in 2011 as a Team Member at Chick-fil-A Newton Plaza in Georgia and worked her way up to become the restaurant’s Director of Operations. After receiving a Team Member scholarship in 2014 during her senior year at Agnes Scott College, Spraggins began Chick-fil-A’s Leadership Development Program, where she supported a total of 13 restaurant grand openings across the country. With eight years of Chick-fil-A experience under her belt, Spraggins was selected as the Operator for Chick-fil-A Alexandria Mall in Louisiana. A year later, Spraggins expressed interest in wanting to move closer to her family and was selected as the Operator for Chick-fil-A LaPlace. Spraggins is looking forward to relocating closer to home along with her three-year-old son Liam.  

“I am thrilled to be opening a restaurant so close to my family,” said Spraggins. “I cannot wait to invest in my team and introduce Chick-fil-A to the LaPlace community.”
