Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (Jan. 5, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Maryland Heights community on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Carter Griffin as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Maryland Heights.
Located at 12607 Dorsett Road, Chick-fil-A Maryland Heights will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Maryland Heights can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. The new restaurant will also feature Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where guests can pick up orders placed on the Chick- fil-A App. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Maryland Heights restaurant joins more than 20 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider St. Louis market.

As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.
In Maryland Heights, Griffin will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
As a student-athlete on the Swimming & Diving team at the University of Missouri, some of Griffin’s fondest team memories are enjoying a Chick-fil-A breakfast after early morning Friday practices.
“I’d wake up to go swim for two hours, then enjoy a Spicy Chicken Biscuit with Hash Browns,” said Griffin. “It seemed like such a little thing, but that tradition helped me stay positive during long hours in the pool.”
For Griffin, the restaurant industry runs in his family, but he had no idea that serving in various Chick-fil-A Team Member roles would ultimately lead to a career. Taking his leadership lessons from the pool to the restaurant, Griffin worked as a Team Member for four years after college graduation – first serving as the Drive-Thru Director at Chick-fil-A Stadium Boulevard in Columbia, Missouri and then working for his father, Don Griffin, the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Parker in Parker, Colorado.
In 2021, Griffin entered the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program to support Operators opening new restaurants across the country, and in 2023, was selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Maryland Heights.
Particularly as a new father, he looks forward to serving the Maryland Heights community and providing an environment where Guests can spend quality time with their family and neighbors.
“From swimming competitively to my journey from Team Member to Owner-Operator, I am passionate about creating an environment full of care, excellence and camaraderie for our Team Members,” said Griffin. “I’ve had so many special experiences at Chick-fil-A over the years, and I look forward to our restaurant being a place where the Maryland Heights community can create many wonderful memories, like I did.”
Caring for the Maryland Heights Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of St. Louis Area Foodbank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Maryland Heights is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Maryland Heights area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Griffin’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 23 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
