MCALESTER, Okla. (Oct. 10, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the McAlester community on Thursday, Oct. 13. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Ron Buckley as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A McAlester.
Located at 1209 Tanglewood Drive, Chick-fil-A McAlester will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A McAlester can place an order for pickup, dine-in or drive-thru on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, guests receive points on every qualifying purchase which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Chick-fil-A McAlester restaurant joins 12 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Tulsa market.

In McAlester, Buckley will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
A retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General, Buckley served for 28 years as a fighter pilot, ran the Air Force’s Senate Liaison Office on Capitol Hill and served as a senior military aide to the vice president at the White House. Originally from Elk City, Okla., Buckley moved across the U.S. with the military. Now, he is excited to settle as a McAlester resident with his family in this new chapter as a Chick-fil-A Operator. As a dedicated philanthropist, Buckley looks forward to setting an example for his Team Members of achieving success in a small town and creating an impact on his local community.
"Chick-fil-A has always been a constant in our lives – no matter where the military moved our family, we always sought the comfort and familiarity of its delicious chicken and signature service,” said Buckley. “I learned the importance of drive, dedication and loyalty throughout my military career, so I look forward to being a mentor in the community and instilling these values in McAlester’s youth. I dream of motivating my Team Members in the way my superiors guided me – I want to help them achieve their goals and realize their endless possibilities, both at Chick-fil-A and beyond.”
Caring for the McAlester Community
In honor of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America on behalf of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in Oklahoma to aid in the fight against hunger. Chick-fil-A McAlester is also recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the community by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.
