Restaurant Brings Approximately 90 Jobs to Community, Donates $25,000 to Address Food Insecurity
NORTHPORT, Ala. (April 21, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is ready to serve Northport at its newest location opening on Thursday, April 24, 2025, creating approximately 90 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Ashley Gill to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Northport West, marking her second restaurant in the area.
Located at 6375 McFarland Blvd., the new restaurant will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, catering and Mobile Thru. Chick-fil-A Northport West will also feature a playground to serve Guests with children.

“Chick-fil-A has been a meaningful part of my life and my family’s story,” said Gill. “I’m thankful for this opportunity because it allows us to enhance the dining experience for Guests and create new opportunities for Team Members. I can’t wait to cultivate new relationships and strengthen existing ones.”
- This year, Gill will celebrate her 20th anniversary with Chick-fil-A.
- She is a third-generation Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator, following in the footsteps of her grandfather and father. The business truly runs in the family—her brother is also a local
Owner-Operator in Jacksonville, Alabama.
- Alongside her new restaurant, Gill will continue to own and operate Chick-fil-A Northport, which has been a part of the community for 16 years.

- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 35 million meals to date. Chick-fil-A Northport West directly partners with the Tuscaloosa Community Soup Bowl for this initiative.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America, benefiting local hunger relief through Heart of Alabama Food Bank and its affiliate, West Alabama Food Bank, in the greater Northport area.
- Recognizing 100 local heroes from Tuscaloosa Angels and Freedom Farm, two organizations making an impact in the Northport community, by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
