Restaurant Brings Approximately 120 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
MERIDIAN, Idaho (Jan. 2, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Meridian community on Thursday, Jan. 9. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Bill Ystueta as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Ten Mile & Vanguard.
Located at 567 S. Innovation Lane, Chick-fil-A Ten Mile & Vanguard will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery and Mobile Thru from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Chick-fil-A Ten Mile & Vanguard is designed for efficiency, featuring a three-lane drive-thru where Guests can either place their order with a Team Member in the traditional drive-thru lane or quickly pick up their mobile order using the dedicated Mobile Thru lane.
The Chick-fil-A Ten Mile & Vanguard restaurant joins five other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Boise market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Meridian, Bill will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 120 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Meridian community’s needs.
Originally from Long Island, Bill’s path of service began at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York before serving in the U.S. Army for more than eight years. Following his military career, Bill continued his education at the MIT Sloan School of Management, graduating in 2001 and developing leadership experience within the retail industry before discovering Chick-fil-A. Inspired by the restaurant’s culture of care, he was determined to pursue a long-term career with the company. In 2013, Bill found his calling when he was selected to own and operate the first and only Chick-fil-A in Twin Falls, Idaho. For more than a decade, he has proudly managed his restaurant and made Idaho his home. Now, Bill is preparing to open Chick-fil-A Ten Mile & Vanguard, a milestone supported by his wife who hails from Meridian and their children.
“I am beyond excited to open the doors of Chick-fil-A Ten Mile & Vanguard,” Bill said. “As an Idahoan and local Owner-Operator for nearly 12 years, this moment is a defining chapter within my Chick-fil-A journey. It also fulfills a long-held dream of being closer to my six grandchildren in Treasure Valley. Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated to serving others, and I am fortunate to continue that passion in Meridian, surrounded by the love and support of my family.”

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Boise area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Bill’s restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 25 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Ten Mile & Vanguard is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Meridian area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
