New Design Features Expanded Drive-Thru, Brings Approximately 40 New Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (July 24, 2024) – Chick-fil-A Tyrone Boulevard reopens for business at a new location on Thursday, July 25, 2024. The restaurant features an expanded drive-thru and an outdoor canopy for face-to-face ordering to enhance both the Guest and Team Member experience. Laurie Harris will continue serving as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Tyrone Boulevard, which has been a part of the St. Petersburg community for over 18 years.
Located at 2190 Tyrone Blvd. North, Chick-fil-A Tyrone Boulevard is open for dine-in, drive-thru, and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The approximately 5,000 square foot restaurant features an inviting dining area with 86 indoor and outdoor seats, two drive-thru lanes, a designated outdoor canopy for face-to-face ordering and 50 parking spaces to accommodate Guests. Chick-fil-A Tyrone Boulevard also offers Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where Guests can pick up orders placed on the Chick-fil-A® App.
The Tyrone Boulevard restaurant is one of more than more than 55 other Chick-fil-A® restaurants serving the wider Tampa market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
At Chick-fil-A Tyrone Boulevard, Harris is responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 150 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the St. Petersburg community’s needs. The restaurant will welcome 40 new Team Members upon reopening at the new relocation.
Harris’ Chick-fil-A journey began at Chick-fil-A Rock Hill in South Carolina, where she served as the Marketing Director and was soon promoted to General Manager. For the next three years, she developed her leadership skills while learning to enhance the Guest experience and gain a deeper understanding of the ins and outs of the business. Since becoming a local Owner-Operator in 2012, Harris has received several company awards for her leadership and team success.
Harris and her husband Ed have been a part of the St. Petersburg community since 2019, when she became the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Tyrone Boulevard. She looks forward to continuing to serve Guests delicious food in a new-and-improved restaurant.
