Restaurant Brings Approximately 150 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A


CARMEL, Ind. (Sept. 25, 2023) — A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Carmel community on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Evan Williamson as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A West Carmel. Located at 9965 N Michigan Road, Chick-fil-A West Carmel will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A West Carmel can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. The new restaurant will also feature Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where guests can pick up orders placed on the Chick-fil-A App. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. Locally Owned and Operated

As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.

In Carmel, Williamson will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 150 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.

Williamson was born and raised in Noblesville, Indiana, and began his career with Chick-fil-A as a Team Member in high school. After college, Williamson returned to the company as part of the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program where he served as Interim Manager at various restaurants and traveled the country supporting new restaurant openings. In 2018, he was selected as the Owner/Operator at Chick-fil-A Terre Haute in Terre Haute, Indiana, less than two hours from his hometown. After five impactful years in Terre Haute, Williamson is excited for the opportunity to transition to a new role as the local Owner/Operator at Chick-fil-A West Carmel.

“I started as a Team Member right here in Indiana and spent a decade working for Chick-fil-A before becoming an Operator,” said Williamson. “During that time, I experienced first-hand the importance of care, and I’m excited to demonstrate that same level of intentionality and hospitality in my restaurant. My vision for Chick-fil-A West Carmel is to serve as a pillar and gathering place for families and our community, where we can show care to Team Members and guests each and every day."

Caring for the Carmel Community

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Inc., a certified member of Feeding America, in honor of the new restaurant.

In addition, Chick-fil-A West Carmel is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Carmel area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.

Williamson’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 20 million meals have been served nationwide from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations.
