Chick-fil-A Announces New Orleans Restaurant Will Open Jan. 12

Chick-fil-A Algiers is the third New Orleans restaurant to open in past three months, bringing an additional 125 Full- and Part-Time jobs to the community
NEW ORLEANS (Jan. 9, 2023) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the New Orleans community on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023. Chick-fil-A Algiers is located at 4130 General DeGaulle Dr., and the restaurant will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Sarah Triplett as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Algiers.
Guests of Chick-fil-A Algiers can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, guests receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. Chick-fil-A Algiers is the third Chick-fil-A restaurant to have opened in New Orleans over the past three months, with each restaurant uniquely designed to best serve its neighborhood. Both Chick-fil-A Poydras Street and Chick-fil-A I-10 & Carrollton opened in December 2022. Combined, the three restaurants add more than 240 full- and part-time jobs to the community. In honor of the openings, Chick-fil-A, Inc. is donating $75,000 to Feeding America on behalf of the new restaurants. These funds will be distributed to local food shelters to aid in the fight against hunger in the city.
These three restaurants will join more than 20 other Chick-fil-A restaurants currently serving the New Orleans market.
Local Ownership at Chick-fil-A Algiers
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators proudly reside in the communities they serve.
At Chick-fil-A Algiers, Sarah Triplett will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 125 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Born and raised in Southeast Louisiana, Triplett lives in the area with her husband Mike and their three children. For the past six years, she has served in various leadership roles at Chick-fil-A Harvey and Chick-fil-A Marrero. Prior to working at Chick-fil-A, Triplett was a teacher for more than 11 years.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Chick-fil-A's craveable food and remarkable service to the Algiers community,” Triplett said. “As a local Operator, I’m passionate about helping develop my team and inspiring them to achieve their goals both in and outside of the restaurant.”
Caring for the New Orleans Community
The restaurant is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the New Orleans area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.
Chick-fil-A Algiers will also be participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ Program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 15 million meals have been served nationwide from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations.
