The Forsyth restaurant joins more than 15 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Macon market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Forsyth, Jones will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 90 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Forsyth community’s needs.
Jones started with the Company in 1997 at Truett’s Chick-fil-A Stockbridge in Stockbridge, Georgia. At just 16 years old, he was deeply interested in the opportunity that working at Chick-fil-A presented for him to grow as a leader. Jones continued as a Team Member while balancing his college studies and beginning to serve in the Army National Guard and Army Reserves in 2002. After graduating in 2004, Jones’ development continued with Chick-fil-A in restaurant management roles the Chick-fil-A Support Center, gaining experiences that deepened his understanding of the ins and outs of the business. In 2013, Jones got the opportunity to pour all his knowledge into his own team when he was selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Vicksburg in Vicksburg, Mississippi. For the past 11 years, Jones has developed young talent and committed to his vision of excellence and showing care to his team and community.
Jones, along with his wife and three children, looks forward to fostering new community connections and developing new leaders at Chick-fil-A Forsyth.
“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve the Forsyth community,” said Jones. “I look forward to creating a welcoming environment where our Guests can enjoy great food and exceptional hospitality. Our team is excited, and we’re committed to enriching the lives of our Guests and showing genuine care to our community.”
Caring for the Forsyth Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Macon area to aid in the fight against hunger.
Jones’ restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 25 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Forsyth is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Forsyth area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
