Second Harvest to support local hunger relief, and will bring 80-110 full- and part-time jobs to the area
TORONTO, ON (JUNE 3, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Orillia community on Thursday, June 13. Chick-fil-A has selected Bradley Bache as the independent franchised Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Orillia. Located at 3285 Monarch Drive, the restaurant will be open for dine-in, pick-up and drive thru from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators proudly reside in the areas in which they serve.
In Orillia, Bache will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 80-110 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Bache was born in Burlington, Ontario, and started his Chick-fil-A journey through the
Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program in 2020. During the three-year program, Bache supported more than 10 Chick-fil-A restaurant openings across Ontario and the United States. During this time, he was exposed to everyday restaurant challenges and gained on-the-job training, learning the valuable skills to operate a successful restaurant business.
“It’s been a tremendous learning experience being part of the Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program and I’m excited to bring Chick-fil-A to Orillia,” said Bache. “I’m looking forward to being a great partner within the community and helping shape our rapidly growing city. As a local Owner-Operator, my vision is to serve great food and care while supporting our community.”

Impacting the Community
Since 2020, Chick-fil-A has donated about C$2 million (US$1.46 million) to Second Harvest to support local hunger-relief organizations. Second Harvest is Canada’s largest food rescue organization and helps reduce the environmental impact of food waste by redistributing surplus edible food from across the supply chain to non-profits throughout the country. In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A will donate about C$34,000 (US$25,000) to Second Harvest to support local non-profit organizations in the community in the fight against hunger.
Bache’s restaurant will also be participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table™ program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from participating Chick-fil-A restaurants to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and non-profits to help feed those in need. Chick-fil-A Orillia will do its part to reduce food waste in its kitchen with a “cook less, more often” approach, reducing the amount of food that goes unserved. When there is surplus food, Chick-fil-A Orillia will donate it to a local non-profit organization whenever possible.
To date, more than 25 million meals have been created using Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout Canada and the U.S.
“Taking part in Chick-fil-A Shared Table is a great way to give back to those in need and especially with food given the current costs of living in Canada,” said Bache. “As a member of our community, I look forward to building strong relationships and finding ways to give back to those in need.”
