Restaurant Brings Approximately 130 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year 


FAIRFIELD, Conn. (Nov. 28) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Fairfield community on Thursday, Dec. 7. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Rich Beattie as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Post Road.     

Located at 750 Post Road, at the corner of Eliot Place, Chick-fil-A Post Road will be open for dine-in and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Post Road can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, guests receive points on every qualifying purchase which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Post Road restaurant joins 13 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving Connecticut.    

Locally Owned and Operated  
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators proudly reside in the areas in which they serve.    

In Fairfield, Beattie will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 130 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.   

Born in New Jersey, Beattie’s first experience with Chick-fil-A was during college and he became captivated by the brand. From bringing original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches every week to his astronomy lab to drinking a Chick-fil-A Sweet Tea while picking out an engagement ring for his now wife, Beattie created a plethora of Chick-fil-A memories.  After starting as a Team Member and holding various leadership roles in the restaurant and at the Chick-fil-A Support Center, Beattie was selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Danbury Fair Mall in Danbury, Connecticut. Nine years later, he now brings his passion for service, hospitality and relationship-building in the Tri-State area to the Fairfield community. Alongside his wife and four children, Beattie looks forward to building an incredible team whose passion for serving guests is second to none.   

“My friends and I would often joke in college that I needed to own a Chick-fil-A one day, and I am honored to have spent the last nine years fulfilling that dream,” said Beattie. “I can’t wait to make a positive impact in Fairfield by fostering strong connections in this new community and showing care to our Guests through our top-quality food.”   

Caring for the Fairfield Community  
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Connecticut Foodshare, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.   

In addition, Chick-fil-A Post Road is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Fairfield area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.    

Beattie’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 23 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
