Restaurant Brings Approximately 120 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Jan. 8, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Mechanicsburg community on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Bill Lindoerfer as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Shepherdstown Crossing.
Located at 219 Gettysburg Pike, Chick-fil-A Shepherdstown Crossing will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Shepherdstown Crossing can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. The new restaurant will also feature Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where guests can pick up orders placed on the Chick-fil-A App. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. Guests can visit chick-fil-a.com/delivery to view delivery options in their area.
The Shepherdstown Crossing restaurant joins more than 10 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York market.

As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.
In Mechanicsburg, Lindoerfer will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 120 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Lindoerfer and his wife, Linda, have lived right down the road from the new restaurant’s location for over two decades. He was introduced to the idea of becoming a local Owner-Operator in 2018 by his brother-in-law, Chris Hobert, who is the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Yoder Plaza in Newport News, Virginia. Over the next five years, Lindoerfer worked at several different Chick-fil-A restaurants to gain hands-on restaurant experience and fine-tune his leadership skills. When the opportunity presented itself, Lindoerfer and his wife were thrilled to find out that he was selected to open a Chick-fil-A restaurant so close to the place they’ve called home since 2001.
“We are very blessed that we get to serve our community through Chick-fil-A Shepherdstown Crossing,” Lindoerfer said. “I’m looking forward to sharing the Chick-fil-A experience with our friends and neighbors. This is our home, where we raised our children and have lived for many years, and I cannot wait to build a culture of care for our Team Members, our Guests and our local community.”
Caring for the Mechanicsburg Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Shepherdstown Crossing is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Mechanicsburg area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Lindoerfer’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 23 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
