Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (Jan. 3, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Tahlequah community on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Corey Seitz as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Tahlequah.
Located at 2589 S Muskogee Ave., Chick-fil-A Tahlequah will be open for dine-in, carry-out and delivery from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and drive-thru from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The Tahlequah restaurant joins more than 15 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Tulsa market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Tahlequah, Seitz will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Tahlequah community’s needs.
Seitz, who was born and raised in nearby Muskogee, is a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma with deep-rooted connections to the area. Growing up, he would often visit his father’s family in Tahlequah, where he also played sports and frequented the local skatepark. Today, Seitz remains an avid member of the local skateboarding community in addition to pursuing a fulfilling career in ministry in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.
After a short time in Pennsylvania, Seitz moved back to his hometown in 2018 and began working at Chick-fil-A Muskogee as the restaurant's Marketing Director. With the goal of challenging himself to become involved in the community in a new way, he quickly became the restaurant’s Operating Partner, a role he held until being selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Tahlequah in August 2024. Seitz, his wife Tara and their six children look forward to expanding their ties to the community through the new Tahlequah restaurant.

Caring for the Tahlequah Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
Seitz’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 30 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Tahlequah is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Tahlequah area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
