Locally Owned and Operated
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.

In Charlotte, Rogers will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 120 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.

A Raleigh native, Rogers’ path to Chick-fil-A began more than 20 years ago. While working in the consumer packaging goods industry, Rogers spent years developing relationships and learning about Chick-fil-A before being selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A University Place in 2005. He will continue to operate Chick-fil-A University Place alongside the new restaurant, and Rogers also operates a location in the Spectrum Center in downtown Charlotte.

During his time as local Owner-Operator, Rogers has seen firsthand the importance of community for both Team Members and Guests. Several of Rogers’ former Team Members worked alongside him for nearly two decades and have since had children of their own who now work for him. Rogers is also passionate about mentoring Team Members who aspire to open their own business and lead their own teams one day.

“I’ve seen Team Members’ lives changed because of the time our leaders have invested in them and through offering accelerated opportunities that build practical experience. For example, one of our former Team Members ventured out to become the local Owner-Operator of two Chick-fil-A restaurants, and we strive to have that type of positive impact on our entire team," Rogers said. “I want Chick-fil-A College Downs to be a place where people can grow. Not just our Team Members, but our Guests and the community as well. Compassion and respect are at the heart of what we do, and my team and I can’t wait to welcome Guests through the new restaurant’s doors.”

Caring for the Charlotte Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.

In addition, Chick-fil-A College Downs is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Charlotte area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.

Rogers’ restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 23 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Team Member Investment
Chick-fil-A Operators are committed to hiring, developing and retaining top talent and providing a positive work environment for people of all ages and backgrounds. Team Members have opportunities for flexible work hours and leadership growth, competitive pay and benefits, hands-on training and mentoring and the chance to apply for scholarships to support their continuing education.

Delicious Food; Outstanding Customer Service
Chick-fil-A is known for serving customers great-tasting food made with high-quality ingredients, including the original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich. Made with a real, whole, boneless breast of chicken with no added fillers, the breaded chicken is pressure cooked in fully-refined peanut oil. Chick-fil-A was one of the first in the industry to eliminate chicken raised with antibiotics to ensure guests have an option for high-quality food on the go.

To complement the great-tasting chicken, fresh produce is delivered to Chick-fil-A restaurants up to six times a week for the best quality and flavor. The fresh ingredients are raised and grown by farmers who share the company's elevated quality and safety standards, so guests feel good about their meal.
