Restaurant Brings Approximately 105 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (Oct. 15, 2024) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Oklahoma City community on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Rey Ferreyro as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Deer Creek.
Located at 18101 Grove Parkway, Chick-fil-A Deer Creek will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The Deer Creek restaurant joins more than 30 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Oklahoma City market.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owner-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.
In Deer Creek, Ferreyro will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 105 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Deer Creek community’s needs.
After spending 13 years in the steel industry, Ferreyro was searching for a change. With two small children and a love for Chick-fil-A, he began spending time with a few local Owner-Operators and their teams to gain insight into the business. The more Ferreyro learned about Chick-fil-A, the more he fell in love with the Company's commitment to caring for local communities. He was selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Rockwell & NW Expressway in 2006. In 2011, he transitioned to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Quail Springs, a restaurant which he will continue to operate alongside Chick-fil-A Deer Creek.
“When we moved to Oklahoma City from Texas, this community embraced our family with open arms, and it quickly became home for us. Both of our kids graduated from the local high school, and over the years, our family has become deeply involved in various aspects of the community,” said Ferreyro. “Opening another restaurant here means so much to me because it’s more than just a business — it’s about giving back to a community that feels like family and creating even more opportunities for our team to grow and make a real impact together.”

The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education and specific community needs.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Deer Creek is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Oklahoma City area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
