EL PASO, Texas (July 2, 2023) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the El Paso community on Wednesday, July 5. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Marc Zayas as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Eastlake Marketplace.
Located at 12141 Eastlake Blvd. in the Eastlake Marketplace shopping center, Chick-fil-A Eastlake Marketplace will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Eastlake Marketplace can place an order for pickup or dine-in on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Eastlake Marketplace restaurant joins 12 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider El Paso/Las Cruces market.

As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.
In El Paso, Zayas is responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Zayas began working at Chick-fil-A in 1990, serving guests for 10 years before becoming an Operator. While he was a Team Member, Zayas also became a State of California certified firefighter in 1998. In 2001, he was selected to serve as Operator at Chick-fil-A Cielo Vista Mall. After 15 years, he continued on to open Chick-fil-A North Hills Crossing in 2016. After four years of operating the North Hills Crossing restaurant, he transitioned to open Chick-fil-A Rojas in 2020. He will continue to serve as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Rojas.
Zayas attributes a large part of his commitment to the El Paso community to his Hispanic heritage. He and his wife, Michelle, have lived in El Paso for more than 20 years with their children, Katherine, Thomas, Luke and Ava. He is actively involved with St. Raphael Parish and works with four El Paso high schools to offer Chick-fil-A Leader Academy. With the opening of Chick-fil-A Eastlake Marketplace, Zayas looks forward to making a positive impact by partnering with more local schools and organizations. He also looks forward to serving more guests in the community with the restaurant's close accessibility to Interstate 10.
“For the last 20 years, taking good care of our community has been my number one priority,” said Zayas. “I’m so excited for our restaurant to continue to provide jobs and opportunities that go above and beyond for El Pasoans, as we love making way for our future leaders. From supporting several local high schools’ Chick-fil-A Leader Academy programs to increasing our sustainability efforts at the restaurant, we want to care for El Paso today and in the future.”
Caring for the El Paso Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater El Paso/Las Cruces area to aid in the fight against hunger.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Eastlake Marketplace is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the El Paso area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Zayas’s restaurant will plan to participate in Chick-fil-A Shared Table®, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 18 million meals have been served nationwide from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations.
Chick-fil-A Eastlake Marketplace will also participate in a composting service that helps compost organic waste to achieve a sustainable practice. Zayas is excited to bring this practice to his new restaurant.
