Restaurant Brings Approximately 180 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Meals for a Year
BRADENTON, Fla. (May 8, 2023) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Bradenton community on Thursday, May 11. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Nathan Hoeksema as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Manatee & 43rd.
Located at 4311 Manatee Ave. W, Chick-fil-A Manatee & 43rd will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Manatee & 43rd can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Manatee & 43rd restaurant joins 50 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Tampa-St. Petersburg market.

In Bradenton, Hoeksema will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 180 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Born and raised in Manatee County, Hoeksema has been a committed member of the Bradenton community all his life. Hoeksema’s path to Chick-fil-A leadership began with his first job at Chick-fil-A at the DeSoto Square Mall in June of 1993. After serving as a Team Member and interim manager at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Naples, Hoeksema eventually became an Operator back in his hometown at the same mall location where his career began. In 2013, after operating the mall location for 10 years, Hoeksema opened his current restaurant, Chick-fil-A Cortez Plaza. He will remain the Operator at Chick-fil-A Cortez Plaza in addition to Chick-fil-A Manatee & 43rd.
“Our restaurant has experienced so much growth over the years thanks to the unwavering support we receive here in Bradenton,” said Hoeksema. “This second location will give us an opportunity to better serve our guests and to really be what we’ve always wanted to be: a community-focused restaurant.”
Caring for the Bradenton Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Tampa-St. Petersburg area to aid in the fight against hunger.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Manatee & 43rd is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Bradenton area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.
Hoeksema’s restaurant plans to participate in Chick-fil-A Shared Table®, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 18 million meals have been served nationwide from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations.
