Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Entrées for a Year
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Dec. 4, 2023) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant begins serving the Charlotte community Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Taylor Jordan as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Wendover Plaza.
Located at 957 N Wendover Road, Chick-fil-A Wendover Plaza will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Wendover Plaza can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, Chick-fil-A One members receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. The Wendover Plaza restaurant joins more than 60 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Charlotte market.
Locally Owned and Operated
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators proudly reside in the communities in which they serve.
In Charlotte, Jordan will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Jordan was born and raised in Winston-Salem and recently relocated to Charlotte with her husband and four children to start her journey as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Wendover Plaza. She has more than 17 years of director-level operations, kitchen and talent and development experience with Chick-fil-A, including serving at several Chick-fil-A restaurants in North Carolina and four years at Chick-fil-A’s Support Center in Atlanta.
Once, while supporting a restaurant opening, Jordan had the chance to meet a member of the Cathy family, and their two-minute conversation sparked Jordan’s aspiration to become a local Owner-Operator. Fast forward to today, Jordan is eagerly looking forward to the responsibilities and opportunities that come with being a local Owner-Operator.
“The growth I’ve experienced over nearly two decades at Chick-fil-A has been life changing,” said Jordan. “It is surreal to be able to extend the same growth opportunities to my Team Members at Chick-fil-A Wendover Plaza. We are excited to work together to positively impact the Charlotte community.”
Caring for the Charlotte Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Wendover Plaza is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Charlotte area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Jordan’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 23 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from nearly 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.
