Restaurant Brings Approximately 125 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Honors 100 Local Heroes with Free Chick-fil-A Meals for a Year
MARIANNA, Fla. (April 3, 2023) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Marianna community on Thursday, April 13. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Grace Dampier as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Marianna.
Located at 4930 Oakdale Blvd., Chick-fil-A Marianna will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Guests of Chick-fil-A Marianna can place an order for pickup, dine-in or delivery on the Chick-fil-A® App or online. When joining the Chick-fil-A One® tiered membership program, guests receive points on every qualifying purchase, which can be used to redeem available rewards. In Marianna, Dampier will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 125 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
Born and raised in Alabama, Dampier graduated with a bachelor's degree in mass communication from the University of North Alabama. Dampier began her Chick-fil-A career as a teenager and has continued working in various roles at Chick-fil-A, including at several restaurants, as part of the training team at Chick-fil-A’s Support Center in Atlanta, traveling the country as a member of the Chick-fil-A® Leadership Development Program and serving as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Oxford Mall in Oxford, Ala.
Dampier is grateful to be celebrating her 17th anniversary with Chick-fil-A while opening a restaurant of her own. Careers at Chick-fil-A run in Dampier’s family. Her uncle, Will Sims, operates two Chick-fil-A restaurants in Nashville. Proudly residing in Marianna, Dampier is excited to continue this tradition and open her restaurant as a family business alongside her husband, Kevin, who will serve as the Operating Partner at Chick-fil-A Marianna, and her brother, JD Oaks, who will serve as the Director of Operations at Chick-fil-A Marianna.
“My life’s mission statement is one that my grandfather taught me and that is to ‘show love, love shows,’” said Dampier. “I look forward to creating an environment of love and care for our Team Members, guests and the Marianna community every day. I want my restaurant to be a place where everyone belongs and is cared for deeply.”
Caring for the Marianna Community
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Marianna area to aid in the fight against hunger.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Marianna is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Marianna area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.
Dampier’s restaurant will plan to participate in Chick-fil-A Shared Table®, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 18 million meals have been served nationwide from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations.
