Restaurant to Bring Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community 


LUFKIN, Texas (April 4, 2022) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is slated to open for business in Lufkin on Thursday, April 7, 2022. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Brad Henckel as the independent franchised Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A West Lufkin. Henckel will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, cultivating relationships with local organizations and neighboring businesses, and serving guests. Chick-fil-A West Lufkin is located at 250 N. John Redditt Drive and will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

Chick-fil-A remains committed to serving guests safely. Chick-fil-A West Lufkin will open for drive-thru and dine-in service. Guests can take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the free Chick-fil-A® App or through online ordering. In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100® Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A West Lufkin will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in the Lufkin community with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Tyler East Texas area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A has always been a family business for Henckel, whose father and brother are also Chick-fil-A Owners/Operators. Henckel’s earliest memories include playing in the back of his father’s restaurant in Beaumont, Texas where he later worked as a Team Member and was awarded a Chick-fil-A scholarship to help pursue an engineering degree. After 13 years in the engineering field, he returned to Beaumont and spent six years running his father’s restaurants. He looks forward to opening his own restaurant in Lufkin and serving the community alongside his family.

“I’ve seen firsthand what a positive impact Chick-fil-A can have on communities, not only while watching my father run his restaurants, but also working as a Team Member and serving guests,” says Henckel. “I’m excited to welcome new Team Members, give back to the community, and create a memorable dining experience for all who visit Chick-fil-A West Lufkin.”
